We need to have our identity stolen before we safeguard it. Sad but true. I have known about the service provided by lifelock before but I still opted not to get it. Despite the lifelock promotion code they offer at lifelock.com , I thought it was just a waste of money. I have been ensured that my confidential information can never be in the hands of the crooks. But when I received a call from my credit card company informing me that I already maxed out the limit of my credit card, I was shocked. I thought that my credit card was stolen and was used in making financial transaction. But when I check my wallet my card was sitting there. Then someone must have gotten my credit card number. When I checked the transaction made using my credit card. They were all internet transactions meaning no signature required. I tried to be a responsible credit card holder and I just use my card sparingly. I would rather use my check or pay in cash since credit card interest are a bit high. Then I realize, I must have left my credit card receipt when I dine in a restaurant.
There are many ways my card information can be obtain. Have I safeguarded my name under LIFELOCK, this incident would never happen.
