Dumpster Diving
Posted by: adminWhen I saw a movie about a man whose life was ruined by someone using his own trash, I was fascianted but I never thought that the same incident would happen to me. It was called dumpster diving. Meaning someone would painstakingly dig through your trash to find some information they can use against you and in my case, someone used my unwanted credit card offers, my monthly credit card statement, and other billing statements I thrown off in the trash can in making a financial transaction. Someone actually got a hold of my personal information through my billing statements and other paper works I dish in the trash bin in my room.
The pre-approved credit card were used and the address where the billing statement would go was changed so I never had any idea that someone was making a shopping spree out of my name until I recieved a call from my credit card company notifying me that I reached the maximum credit limit of my charge card. That was when I learned about LifeLock identity insurance. Life Lock offers identity fraud protection and they can be easily access at LifeLock.com . Have I have known the identity insurance before , my credit standing should have never been in jeopardy.
